Split Rocks is an area off of Purcell Road and is part of Camp Oty’Okwa. This is the one area of camp that is open to the public, and is part of the Old Growth Forest Network. These pictures were taken in late March and early April. There is a gravel parking lot along Purcell Road that is pretty well marked. Across the street there is a kiosk with a map of the area and a sign-in sheet for hikers. Along the trail trees are marked with identifying signs. At the Split Rocks there are several ways to get down into the maze like structure. The area is used by the camp, so you may encounter groups along the trail.
