Over Thanksgiving we were able to get out and enjoy some nice weather at Allerton Park in Illinois. It was a fun hike and got the dogs out for a while. Allerton is a park operated through the University of Illinois. Robert Allerton donated the land along with its collection of statues and gardens. Most of the statues are in formal gardens, but there are still a few that are found along the wooded trails.
