I’ve been working on this painting for months (I call myself a slow painter, LOL), just a few hours every month at my painting group. Yesterday I finally finished it. It’s only a 12×12 inch canvas. I thought I had posted it to FB yesterday with my phone, but it didn’t seem to go through, so I decided to post this on my website and share it out that way instead. I took the reference images for this painting on a November of 2019 trip to the South Rim of the National park. There had been a light snowfall before we got there and we didn’t stay long because more snow was predicted.
