This spring Hocking Hills State Park opened 2 new trails. The Hemlock Bridge trail features a swinging suspension bridge, and the Whispering Cave trail is a spur trail to the second largest overhang cave in the park. I missed their grand opening, but on June 6th I finally managed to make it out there. The trails in the state park are dog friendly, so I brought Tucker along. He wasn’t sure about the swinging bridge and I had to go first. The rest was great fun for him. Like most of the trails in the park, there are some pretty good elevation changes, but the trails are pretty short, so most people should be able to visit them, going slowly back up if needed.
The trails leave off from the parking lot where the lodge used to be. It burned down in December during renovations.
