2019 52 week project #1

I have decided to take a bit of a break from doing the 365 project. It is time to spend more time developing products and working on marketing and selling more of my work. I am going to attempt a 52 project again. When I did this in 2017 I didn’t quite get the whole thing finished, but it was a year with lots of traveling and some unexpected renovation projects. Hopefully this year will be more successful. This will also allow me to tell more stories with my photography.
On Sunday I went to Three Creeks Metro Park with my PreservArt Ohio friend Julia and we attended a photo hike. It was a warm day for January in Ohio and for once the sun was actually shining. It does seem like we have had a lot of rain lately.
Given that it has been pretty warm, there was actually no ice available to shoot, but the park had other things to offer. Sunny yellow tones, lots of birds, reflections and shadows on bark. It was good to get back in the woods again.

A group of Canada Geese were feeding on grass on the hillside. They were keeping a close eye on us.
Red bellied woodpecker looking for dinner.
Chickadees visiting the park bird feeder.
Shadows across the bark of the Sycamore tree.
Yellow Bellied Sapsuckers migrate through this area. They peck horizontal lines through the bark of trees to get sap for energy. Hummingbirds will visit the fresh holes to feed as well when early spring flowers are not yet open.
Reflections in the shallow pools beside the river.
Shadows of the bridge over Big Walnut Creek.
