Spring at Conkle’s Hollow State Nature Preserve – 52 project 18
On April 19th I took a hike in the gorge at Conkle’s Hollow. Even though there were quite a few people there, this park still offers a bit of solitude. Several species of spring flowers were at peak.

Camp Oty’Okwa during spring training. It was a beautiful night. I still need to work on my settings a bit, to get sharp stars, but I thought the tree was pretty dramatic.

Signs of spring. Well maybe not too many would think a flock of turkey vultures was a sign of spring, but these birds were migrating through our yard and spent a couple of days here waiting for the weather to improve. Shortly after the early flowers started to bloom.
