I did very well in the Fair Photography competition this year with 12 pictures winning. I also received the prize for the most money won in the photography contest.
This chicken is a Digitally altered picture that combines the bird with the background being the inside of the round barn at the Fairfield County Fair Grounds in Lancaster, OH. This picture won 1st place at the 2016 Photography competition at the fair.
Many of the larger Mantis we see are not native and were brought in for pest control. While I don’t know if this is one of our natives, it was pretty big. I am assuming it is an import.
More than 600 cliff dwelling sites have been identified in Mesa Verde National Park. Only a few, like this one, are accessable to the public. Tours are offered seasonally. While we were there, only Balcony house was open for a tour.
